The song which was part of Davido’s massive four-track hit run is one of the songs that contributed to the early exportation of Afrobeats to the West as it enjoyed commercial success in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe.

The smash hit single which was a follow-up to IF, opened the DMW and 30BG head honcho’s incredible run of hits which also included the release of FIA, Like Datamong others. Fall enjoyed success in the United Kingdom where it became one of the first Afrobeats songs to be certified in the United States, earning an RIAA Platinum plaque.

Produced by KDDO, Fall is one of the songs on Davido’s sophomore album A Good Time released in 2019. It has amassed over 280 million views on YouTube and continues to be one of the top songs in his touring lineup, especially for its international popularity. Fall joins Oxlade’s Kulosa, Burna Boy’s Last Last, Ayra Starr’s Rush, and Rema’s Calm Down as the Afrobeats songs to be certified diamond in France.

In another development, the Assurance hitmaker has released the music video for his single Away. Released on Tuesday, March 12, the music video is an exciting portrayal of the fast life of a superstar.

Accompanied by his entourage, Davido shares moments around the world as he hops from the jet to the yacht. The music video captures Davido and his crew celebrating their wins after the success of his record-breaking album and sold-out concerts.

While playing host to American Twitch sensation, Kai Cenat, who is visiting Nigeria, the Grammy-nominated singer announced that his fifth album is ready. Davido revealed that he has finished recording the album and fans can expect 15 tracks with six guest appearances.

Though the afrobeats superstar is yet to release any single from his upcoming album; he has kicked off the year 2024 with guest appearances on Kizz Daniel’s Twe Twe remix and Logos Olori’s Easy On Me.

Davido didn’t disclose the album name nor did he reveal the release date, it will be his fifth album and if released this year, it will also be his third in four years. Music pundits averred that there might be possibility of the self-professed Omo Baba Olowo (O.B.O) releasing the album before the close of the window for the 2024 Grammy nominations as he will be aiming to add it to the four nominations he earned in 2023.
