THE Kaduna State government has stated that it is working around the clock to ensure the safe return of all 287 Kuriga schoolchildren.

The Commissioner of Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu, made the guarantee at a CLEEN Foundation-organized peace walk commemorating International Women’s Day.

She said, “We are in support of what you are doing; the 287 kidnapped children will be brought back home. Governor Uba Sani is working round the clock; all the children will be brought back.”

Meanwhile, the CLEEN Foundation and other stakeholders have stated their desire to advance the cause of Nigerian women by promoting gender-responsive legislation and fostering an inclusive society in which everyone has equal chances and rights.

They made the commitment yesterday at a two-day training workshop titled ‘Policy Dialogue on State Gender Responsive Frameworks and Practices’ hosted by CLEEN Foundation in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy and UN Women in Kaduna.
