Air Peace initiated its Lagos-London flight operations on Saturday, marking the beginning of this service a month after announcing its intention to launch direct flights to London on March 30 at a prelaunch event organized by the airline in February.
In November, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, disclosed that the airline had secured the necessary permits, including the Foreign Carrier Operator Permit and Third Country Operator Permit, enabling it to conduct flights to Europe and the United Kingdom.
This milestone was shared via the Air Peace X platform on Saturday, where the airline expressed its joy at commencing the London service and achieving another milestone in its commitment to providing seamless connectivity between cities. The airline extended gratitude to all those who contributed to the successful launch.
Notable figures present at the inaugural London flight included the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, among others.
