EBONYI: Body of state attorney-general elects Ben Odoh as chairman

THE Ebonyi State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Ben Uruchi Odoh, has been chosen Chairman of the Body of State Attorneys-General.

Odoh was elected during a meeting of the body held today at the National Judicial Institute in Abuja.

The Attorney General of Kwara State, Senior Ibrahim, was elected as the body’s secretary, and Hauwa Abubakar, the Attorney General of Borno, was elected Treasurer.

Odoh, the body’s new Chairman, is well regarded in legal circles as a fierce advocate for restorative justice and the driving force behind measures that have altered his state’s legal landscape.

Under his leadership, Ebonyi State has transformed its approach to justice, establishing ministries such as the Public Defender, the Department of Gender-Based Violence, and the Citizens Mediation Centre.

Odoh’s leadership is intended to bring in a new era of collaboration and progress among state solicitors general, creating an environment conducive to the improvement of legal frameworks that protect the rights and dignity of all Nigerians.
