REAL Madrid have confirmed the agreement between the club and Kylian Mbappe to join them from Paris Saint-Germain.

The UEFA Champions League holders announced the deal today with a short statement on their official website, ending weeks of speculation.

“Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have reached an agreement under which he will become a Real Madrid player for the next five seasons,” the 15-time European champions stated tonight.

After the confirmation of the move, France forward Mbappe said it was a ‘dream come true’.

Mbappe will reportedly earn €15m a season at the Spanish giants as well as a €150m signing-on bonus to be paid over five years, and he will keep a percentage of his image rights.

“Nobody can understand how excited I am right now!” Mbappe posted on Instagram.

“A dream come true. So happy and proud to join the club of my dreams.”

Mbappe spent seven years at perennial French champions PSG, having initially joined on loan from Monaco before a permanent €180m move.

The 2018 World Cup winner with France and top scorer of Qatar 2022 made 308 appearances for PSG in all competitions, registering 256 goals and 108 assists as the club won six Ligue 1 titles and reached the UEFA Champions League final in 2020.
