I want to change the regular Nollywood narrative – Chinenye Ulaegbu

Chinenye Ulaegbu is a passionate filmmaker, fitness enthusiast, and dancer, hails from the vibrant state of Enugu.

Just a few months ago, the Thespian had a beautiful experience at Delyork Academy where she gained more knowledge about filmmaking and directing.

Reflecting on her time at Delyork Academy, Ulaegbu describes her experience as transformative. “I had no knowledge about directing when I started,” she admits to Naijatimes, “Everything I know was taught by my instructor, Mr. Chinendu Ben Omerie. He was patient and ensured we left with more than enough information.”

This intensive training not only deepened her understanding of filmmaking but also broadened her perspective on life and human interactions.

With her newfound expertise, the actress is determined to make a significant impact in Nollywood. She plans to leverage her skills to produce films that address pressing social issues and educate viewers about Nigerian culture and lifestyle. “I intend to change the narrative in film,” she asserts. “I will not just keep this knowledge to myself. I aim to create movies that resonate with people and use film as a tool to create awareness and educate.”
