SUPER Eagles striker Victor Osimhen could leave Napoli for Paris Saint-Germain this summer if Napoli accept the French champions’ offer of cash and players.
PSG appear to be the club most keen on the 25-year-old Nigeria international and Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda was in Paris today to represent his client in negotiations between the clubs and the player.
According to European transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, PSG, who are looking to replace Real Madrid new boy Kylian Mbappe, have given Napoli three players to choose from as part of the deal for Osimhen.
“The names currently being considered are Carlos Soler, a Spanish midfielder formerly of Valencia; Nordi Mukiele, a French defender formerly of RB Leipzig; and finally Kang-In Lee, a Korean winger also formerly of Valencia,” Di Marzio wrote on his website tonight.
“At the moment, Napoli seem interested only in the third, born in 2001 and arrived in Paris a few months ago.”
Di Marzio added that Saudi Arabian clubs still hold an interest in Osimhen, who however prefers to remain in Europe.
Osimhen signed a contract extension with Napoli last year which includes a release clause believed to be around €130m, but no club has matched it so far.
Chelsea were also reported to have offered a players plus cash deal to Napoli for the Nigerian but it was rejected.
Osimhen joined Napoli from French club Lille in September 2020 for around €80m and has been the Italian club’s most important player, scoring a league-high 26 goals in the 2022/2023 season as they won their first Serie A title in 33 years.
