Supporters of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president have set October 7 to inaugurate the Lagos chapter of their project ahead of the 2023 general elections.
This was contained in a statement made available to reporters in Lagos yesterday by Kafilat Ogbara, the group’s secretary.
The declaration states that the one-week event will be launched in Lagos from October 2-9 under the auspices of the South-West Agenda for Asiwaju 2023 (SWAGA’23).
SWAGA`23 has already been introduced in the states of Oyo, Ogun, Osun and Ekiti.
The communiqué establishes that the inauguration will be led by the leaders of the GAC in Lagos, its Executive Council, national and state assembly members, and all the political heavyweights of the state.
According to the statement, the national delegates would be led by Senator Dayo Adeyeye.
“It is indeed a payback time for our national leader, who has through his years of service contributed to the lives of many others and today you can see his footprints across the country.
“We shall continue to appeal to him to contest for President because governance is not what to be experimented with.”
“Therefore, we need an experienced man, who understands the diverse nature of the Nigerian economy,” the statement said.
