Michael Omonua, CJ Obasi and Abba T. Makama’s anthology feature film, ‘Juju Stories’, will be released in theatres on October 31, 2021.
According to confirmed reports, the film produced by Oge Obasi will be released in 12 African countries by Canal Olympia.
Paul Utomi, Timini Egbuson, Adebukola Oladipupo, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, Michael Ejoor, Nengi Adoki, Belinda Yanga Agedah, Elvis Poko, Don Ekwuazi amongst other star in the movie.
‘Juju Stories’ tackles juju in contemporary Lagos with three stories.
‘Suffer the Witch’ by CJ Obasi depicts how love and friendship lead to obsession when a college girl attracts her crush’s attention. “Love Potion” by Omonua concerns an unmarried woman who decides to use juju to find the perfect mate, while “Yam” by Makama examines the consequences of picking up seemingly random money from the roadside.
A private screening of this award-winning film was recently held in Lagos with diplomatic dignitaries and the crème de la crème of the Nollywood film industry in attendance.
