Lagos CP visits Monsurat Ojuade’s family, discloses cop’s identity

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu paid a condolence visit to the family of late Monsurat Ojuade on Monday.

The 18-year-old died after been shot by a policeman from the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, who went with other officers on an operation to arrest a robbery suspect officer in Ijesha on September 11.

Odumosu visited the family with other members of the command’s management team and some senior officers.

The CP condoled with the Monsurat’s family on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Usman and force personnel in Lagos

Expressing regret over the incident, he prayed for the repose of the departed soul.

He however gave out the name of the culprit as Sgt. Samuel Phillips, although, his name had been concealed earlier by the command.

Odumosu also confirmed that Phillips is undergoing an orderly room trial and assured that justice would be served.
