In September 2021, Wizkid’s album, Made In Lagos, tied Fela’s The Best Of Black President for the longest run on Billboard’s World Music Albums chart.
The Best of Black by Fela Kuti is a 2-CD compilation album released by MCA Records in 1999.
As part of a reissue series of Kuti’s albums, it was released in the United States in 2000. RCA Records, however, released ‘Made In Lagos’ in 2020.
Both albums spent 45 weeks on the chart, respectively.
Fela’s album peaked at No. 3, whereas Wizkid’s peaked at No. 1.
‘Made In Lagos’ also became the highest-charting Nigerian album on the Billboard 200 a few weeks ago.
The superstar who has three baby mamas and three children recently revealed his quest for a wife.
This was revealed in a post shared on the singer’s social media pages during a tour.
“As a single father, I hope I catch a wife on this tour,” he wrote.
