PDP crisis: Deputy chairman steps in and suspends NWC meeting

The ongoing PDP crisis seems to take a dramatic turn with the suspension of national chairman Uche Secondus.

Elder Yemi Akinwonmi, The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party, has taken over the party’s affairs following the restraining order issued against the National Chairman, Uche Secondus, by a Rivers High Court in Port Harcourt yesterday, 23rd, August 2021.

In support of his action, Akinwonmi cited Article 35 (b) of the PDP Constitution and suspended the meeting of the National Working Committee of the party indefinitely.
