According to Zenith Bank Plc, its first-half profit before tax reached N117.06bn, an increase of 2.67 percent from the same period last year.
According to the bank’s audited interim report for the six months ended June 2021, its net interest income increased by 1.61 percent to N159.94bn in H1 2021 from N157.41bn in the same period last year.
In 2020, Zenith’s earnings per share rose to N3.38 from N3.30.
However, the bank’s gross profits fell to N345.56bn in H1 2021 from N346.09bn in the same period last year.
“We will pay an interim dividend of 30 kobos for every share of N50k subject to appropriate withholding tax to shareholders whose names appear in the register of members as at the close of business on the 10th day of September 2021,” the bank’s Company Secretary, Michael Otu, said in a statement.
