THE new Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, has officially moved into the Speaker’s office at the Lagos State House of Assembly Complex.
She was accompanied by fellow members of the State Assembly as she entered her new office.
A prayer session was held for her and the other members, seeking smooth leadership and cooperation among the Honourable members.
The plenary session scheduled for today has been adjourned to a later date by the leadership of the House, under Rt. Hon. Speaker Mojisola Meranda.
Meanwhile, former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa broke the silence on Saturday, asserting that he remains the Speaker until the proper procedures are followed.
Obasa was removed by a majority of House members on January 13, 2025, amid allegations of misconduct and financial misappropriation.
