ACTRESS Kate Henshaw has encouraged women to enroll in self-defense classes to protect themselves from domestic violence and killings perpetrated by men.

In a recent interview, she emphasized the importance of caution, stating, “We all just have to be careful. To the women who are often the victims, I would say we need to take self-defense classes if possible to learn how to protect ourselves.”

Henshaw also urged all states to adopt measures similar to those implemented by the Lagos State Government to combat sexual and domestic violence. She pointed out a recent initiative in Lagos, where an app was launched to allow individuals to report incidents anonymously through a digital platform. “I encourage other states to follow that example and even strive to improve upon it to ensure the protection of women, and men as well. I don’t understand what is happening in society these days; it feels as though we no longer possess control over our environment.”

Additionally, the single mother of one spoke about her passion for exercise and dance routines, describing herself as the “fitness queen.” She stated that exercise has significantly improved her mental health, saying, “Exercise makes me energetic. It helps me become more self-aware and brings me peace and joy. It has truly been a blessing for my mental health, which is extremely important.”
