SECURITY has been heightened at Joy House Hotel in the Garki District of Abuja, where former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, David Parradang, was found dead.

When journalists visited the hotel today, armed immigration officers were seen stationed at the entrance, closely monitoring movements in and out of the premises.

A security guard at the gate questioned people before granting access, while hotel officials declined to comment on the incident.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, in a statement on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, confirmed that Parradang checked into the hotel on Monday at around 12 p.m., driving a black Mercedes-Benz. He booked a room for ₦22,000 and later instructed hotel staff to escort a female visitor to his room.

According to the police, the woman eventually left the premises while Parradang remained in his room.

A police source at the FCT Command stated that investigations are still ongoing, assuring the public that further details will be provided as they unfold.
