THE National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, has handed over 19 rescued kidnapping victims to the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.
The brief handover ceremony took place today at the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in the Office of the National Security Adviser, Abuja.
Among the rescued individuals were Ambassador Gideon Yohanna and Brigadier-General Maharazu Tsiga (retired), a former Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), who had spent 56 days in captivity, along with 17 others, including a child.
Both Ribadu and Musa reaffirmed their commitment to eradicating criminal activities and restoring security across the country.
“Thanks to the efforts of our armed forces and security agencies, we have been able to rescue and bring back our people,” Ribadu stated.
“This particular operation involved key personalities who have served the nation. We are grateful for their safe return and appreciate those who made it possible. Our operations continue silently, and we will pursue the perpetrators,” he added.
