Prominent Nigerian influencer Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has been arrested by police officers in Abuja.
According to his lawyer, Barrister Deji Adeyanju, the arrest took place at the GTBank branch in Area 3 after VDM made public allegations against the bank regarding unauthorized transactions on his mother’s account.
Adeyanju confirmed the incident on Twitter, describing the arrest as unacceptable. He tweeted, “JUST IN: VDM arrested by the police at GTB. I spoke to them before he was arrested. This is absolutely unacceptable. Demanding accountability is not a crime.”
In a subsequent tweet, he mentioned that VDM was taken into custody along with a friend named C Park, while his mother was left behind.
