Singer Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has apologised to his wife Natasha, their children, and his fans after igniting controversy with a comment that suggested men are not naturally wired to be with just one woman.
During a recent podcast appearance, he sparked heated debate when he claimed that while a man can deeply love one woman, he is biologically inclined to engage in sexual relations with others.
He stated, “A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. A man can love one woman until death, but it’s impossible for a man to sexually be with only one woman. It’s the biology of man.”
His remarks elicited sharp criticism online, with many accusing him of justifying infidelity, while a few others referred to his statement as a “harsh truth.”
However, in a video shared on Tuesday night, 2Baba described his earlier comment as “unlegendary” and offered a heartfelt apology.
He said, “I know I messed up with what I said, and I realize I might get canceled because of it. I apologize to my fans and, most importantly, to my wife, the love of my life, Natasha, and also to my kids. I’m terribly sorry. That’s not who I am.”
