Operatives of the Nigerian Air Force under Operation Fansan Yamma have killed scores of bandits in a series of coordinated airstrikes.
The precision strikes targeted a large convoy of bandits migrating on motorcycles along the Kebbi–Zamfara axis, specifically near Yarbuga in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to a statement on Thursday by the NAF spokesman, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the convoy, comprising nearly 150 motorcycles in separate batches, was sighted through real-time surveillance, with each bike carrying at least two armed terrorists.
He said once identification was established, NAF aircraft engaged the convoy with devastating precision.
