THE Lagos State Government has finally lifted the curfew imposed following violence that erupted in the state after suspected hoodlums hijacked the #EndSARS protests.
This development was confirmed in a series of tweets on the state government’s official twitter handle.
The government had relaxed the curfew from 10pm to 6am on Friday before lifting it completely, yesterday.
Lagos, however, retained the 12 am to 4am curfew imposed by the Federal Government to curb the spread of COVID-19 remains.
“Lagosians are free to go about their businesses without any hindrance whatsoever. Security agencies will continue to discharge their duties.
“Lagosians are urged to co-operate with them to maintain the status of our state as one of the most peaceful, ” the tweets read.
While commending residents for observing the curfew and ensuring the return of normalcy, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu thanked security agencies for efforts in restoring peace to troubled communities.
He urged them not to do or encourage any action that may turn back the clock.
