THERE have been changes made to the dates of the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoffs between Nigeria and Ghana, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced.
The matches were initially scheduled for 24 March in Cape Coast and three days later in Abuja.
However, the NFF said it was on Monday notified by the Confederation of African Football that the final qualifying round games between Super Eagles and the Black Stars will now take place on new dates.
The first leg at the Cape Coast Stadium will now be played on Friday, 25 March from 7.30pm Ghanaian time (8.30pm in Nigeria).
The return match between the fierce West African rivals will now be held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday, 29 March from 6pm Nigerian time.
The Super Eagles are seeking to qualify for their fourth straight World Cup while the Black Stars are aiming to return to football’s biggest stage after missing the last tournament in Russia in 2018.
