SUPER Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has become a father for the second time.

The 23-year-old announced the birth of his second child last night with a post on Instagram, although he did not reveal its gender.

The baby was born on Monday and Uzoho shared pictures of himself and his wife Soomie with the child.

“Thank you Lord for this precious gift. AKUNNAYA. IN CHRIST ALONE,” Uzoho wrote in the post, accompanied with the picture of himself with mother and child still in the hospital.

Uzoho’s first child, a son, was born in 2020, two years after he got married to Soomie.

Many of Uzoho’s Super Eagles teammates congratulated him under his post, including Kenneth Omeruo, fellow goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, Alex Iwobi, Chidozie Awaziem, Calvin Bassey, Kelechi Iheanacho, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon.

Former Super Eagles stars like the legendary goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and midfielder John Ogu also wrote congratulatory messages to welcome the new baby.

The former Golden Eaglets keeper is currently playing his club football with Cypriot top flight side Omonia Nicosia, whom he helped to win the Cypriot Cup last season.

He has 25 caps with the Super Eagles and has kept goal in their last six matches.
