Harry Kane became the all-time Premier League top scorer for a single club after he netted the only goal in Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 over Wolverhampton Wanderers in today’s early kick-off at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The England striker has scored 185 Premier League goals for Spurs, taking him past Sergio Aguero, who scored 184 for Manchester City.

It was also Kane’s 250th goal overall for Tottenham as they moved to the top of the Premier League table with seven points from three matches.

Kane struck in the 64th minute, reacting sharply to head in Ivan Perisic’s flick on from a corner to give Spurs their reward for their second-half dominance.

Spurs struggled in the first half and were lucky it ended goalless, with the visitors clearly the better side.

But Spurs were a different team after the break, with Kane and Son Heung-min hitting the woodwork as the hosts poured forward in a bid to break the deadlock.

When Kane finally found the net, Tottenham became the fifth team to score 1,000 goals at home (after Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool a d Chelsea) since the Premier League was formed in 1992.

The 29-year-old Kane is also now fourth on the all-time Premier League top goal scorers list with 185, behind Alan Shearer (260), Wayne Rooney (208) and Andy Cole (187).
