JOSE Mourinho is hopeful that Harry Kane will be fit for Tottenham Hotspur’s blockbuster Premier League clash against North London rivals Arsenal on Sunday.
England striker Kane has been in brilliant form this season, scoring seven goals and making nine assists as Spurs shot to the top of the table.
He was however one of the Spurs players who missed training on Wednesday as they prepared for Thursday’s Europa League fixture against Austrian club LASK.
When he was asked about absentees Kane, Erik Lamela, Carlos Vinicius and Sergio Reguilon during a press call on Wednesday, Tottenham manager Mourinho replied: “All injured. Lamela is an injury from three weeks, a month. I don’t believe he has a chance for the weekend.
“Harry, Vinicius and Sergio there is a chance for the weekend.”
Regarding Kane, Mourinho added: “I’m not going to tell you the nature of his injury. I think he has a good chance [vs Arsenal ].”
Kane has an impressive record against Arsenal, scoring 10 times in 11 games in the Premier League against the Gunners.
He has been instrumental in Spurs’s superb start to the season with 21 points at the top of the table, ahead of Liverpool on goals difference.
In sharp contrast, Arsenal have been in dire form, losing three straight home games in the league and languishing in 14th spot with just 13 points from 10 matches.
