The Flamingos rounded off their tour of Turkey last night with a 3-1 defeat to top flight team Fenerbahce Women in a friendly.
The Nigerian girls are preparing for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup billed for India from October 11 to October 30.
The Flamingos had beaten Galatasaray Women 3-1 on Saturday in their first game in Turkey, but Fenerbahce proved to be much stronger opponents.
Busan Seker netted twice in the 35th and 80th minutes to give the Turkish club a 2-0 lead.
Edidiong Etim pulled one back in the 90th minute as the Nigerian girls sought to grab a late draw.
It was the Turks who struck again though, Nina Kpaho scoring in the third minute of added time to make it 3-1.
After the match, Patricia George, the Super Falcons star who plays for Fenerbahce, urged the Flamingos to make Nigeria proud in India.
The Flamingos, who arrived in Turkey on Tuesday last week, will leave for India tomorrow.
They are in Group B at the World Cup, along with Germany, New Zealand and Chile.
The Nigerian girls open their campaign against Germany on October 11, before taking on New Zealand three days later and Chile on October 17.
