BIG Brother Naija season 3 housemate, Tobi Bakre, has called on Nigerians to raise funds for the medical bills of co-star, Rico Swavey.
The reality star has cried out to the public to help save Swavey’s life.
Pleading on behalf of Rico Swavey, who is on life support, he begged Nigerians to donate money to help safe his life.
According to Tobi, they have to keep him on life support and continue to pay the rising medical bills while waiting for a miracle.
“Pls help save Rico. He had a really bad car accident. We have to keep him on life support and continue to pay the rising medical bills while we pray for God’s miracle. Can’t do it alone”, he wrote.
This is coming hours after his management gave update on his health status after it was announced that he was involved in a terrible car accident.
The new handler of his social media page also released video of the accident scene.
“Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We implore your support and prayers. Signed: Management,” the post on Twitter reads.
Recall that his fellow ex-housemate in Big Brother Naija season 3, Alex Asogwa aka Alex Unusual, shared the sad news on her Twitter page on Tuesday.
According to her, the accident occurred “hours ago”, adding that the doctors were trying to resuscitate Rico Swavey as of the time she left the hospital.
Alex further asked fans to put Rico Swavey in their prayers, as he was in a critical position.
She also said that she was staying positive concerning the sad occurrence, as she also shared a screenshot of the tweet on her Instagram story.
Alex, however, did not state where the accident occurred or how it happened.
The model tweeted, “Good morning sweethearts. Please put @iamricoswavey in your prayers today.
“He was involved in a ghastly accident hours ago and the doctors are still trying to resuscitate him as I just left the hospital. It’s really critical.
“I’m staying positive. #PrayForRicoSwavey”.
