Victor Osimhen came off the bench to score for the second consecutive game tonight, helping Napoli to secure a 3-2 win over Bologna.

The win at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona took Napoli back to the top of the Serie A table, above last night’s leaders Atalanta.

The Super Eagles striker, who returned from a muscle injury in midweek, replaced Giacomo Raspadori at the beginning of the second half and was on the scoresheet in the 69th minute with the winning goal.

Bologna had taken a shock lead through the Dutch-Nigerian youngster Joshua Zirkzee in the 41st minute but the hosts replied almost immediately, with Juan Jesus netting just before half-time.

Napoli took the lead for the first time in the contest with Hirving Lozano’s 49th minute goal, but the stubborn visitors equalised through Gambia forward Musa Barrow just two minutes later.

Osimhen won it for Napoli with a close-range finish, and Luciano Spalletti’s side are unbeaten in 10 matches, drawing just twice.

The Nigeria international also scored in Napoli’s 4-2 Champions League win over Ajax on Wednesday night, his first game since September 7.

He now has four goals in eight matches in all competitions this season.

Also in Italy today, Cyriel Dessers continued his good form by netting in Cremonese’s 2-2 draw at Spezia.

The Super Eagles striker struck in the second minute and was in action for 72 minutes, while David Okereke played the full game.

Dessers, who also scored last Sunday, has two goals and one assist in 10 matches for Serie A newcomers Cremonese, with Okereke also contributing two goals.

In France, Moses Simon was on target from the penalty spot as Nantes defeated Brest 4-1 to move up to 14th spot in Ligue 1.

The Super Eagles forward has produced four goals and one assist in nine Ligue 1 appearances this season.
