ALL candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who took part in the just concluded Osun local government election have been declared elected unopposed.
Chairman of the Osun Independent Electoral Commission, OSIEC, Segun Oladitan made this known in Osogbo while presenting certificates of return to all the winners in the local government election today.
The OSIEC chairman said the candidates were declared winners having fulfilled necessary constitutional and electoral requirements.
Oladitan said as of Friday 14th which is a day before the election, the Commission ensured there was no subsisting legal inhibition restricting it from conducting the exercise.
Speaking on vote apathy, he noted that political parties who fail to sensitize and mobilise the electorate for election should be blamed for the phenomenon and not the election management body.
Some of the newly elected chairmen and councilors promised to reciprocate the confidence reposed in them by members of their respective councils and wards.

PARTICIPATION IN ELECTIONS IS NEITHER MANDATORY AND OR NECESSARY FOR ANYONE. IT IS VOLUNTARY AND OR BY CHOICE.

BOYCOTTING ELECTIONS IS AT ANYONE’S PERIL WHO CHOOSES TO IGNORE AND NOT PARTICIPATE IN WHAT WOULD AFFECT ONE’S LIFE AND OR FORTUNES.
Any election grounded in STATUES will always hold and stand except there is no will on the part of the organizers and government for the exercise.
PEOPLE STAYING AWAY FROM ELECTIONS IS A REGRETABLE OPTION, WHILE ELECTIONS WILL ALWAYS HELD WITH OR WITHOUT THEM. THE BOYCOTTERS ARE THE GREATEST LOSERS IN THE CONTENDING SCHEME OF THINGS.
The local government election will hold and there would be winners declared and there would be local governments chairmen and councilors in the state of Osun and opposition people can go SULK and WEEP in the corners of their rooms. Including KICK WHINE and WIMPERS all they like.
