GOMBE: Gov appoints new revenue board chairman

THE State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, appointed on Wednesday Salihu Baba Alkali as the new executive chairman of the Gombe Internal Revenue Service (GIRS).

According to a statement from his spokesperson, Ismaila Uba Misilli, the appointment which was effective immediately was conveyed through the secretary to the State government Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi.

The appointee who is an expert in tax and financial management, recently retired as director from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).
