Barcelona vs PSG, Chelsea vs Atletico headline Champions League R16 draw

BARCELONA will face Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea will be up against Atletico Madrid in the standout fixtures of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

The draw for the competition was held on Monday while the matches will be held in February and March 2021.

Brazilian superstar Neymar will be facing his Barcelona teammates in a repeat of the two sides’ classic tie of 2017.

In other fixtures, champions Bayern Munich were drawn against Lazio, who are in this round for the first time, while Liverpool will battle RB Leipzig, who edged out the Reds’ fierce rivals Manchester United in the group stages.

Real Madrid, the most successful club in the competition with 13 titles, have Serie A side Atalanta as round of 16 opponents, with Italian champions Juventus facing Porto.

Spanish side Sevilla, who won the UEFA Europa League last season, will square up to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City, who are yet to reach the semi-finals since Pep Guardiola took charge in 2016, will be playing Borussia Monchengladbach, who survived the tough group that featured Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

The first legs will be played over two weeks, taking place on 16, 17, 23 and 24 February, with the second legs on 9, 10, 16 and 17 March.
