THE governor of Plateau State, Simon Lalong, has expressed confidence that the APC will receive support from the people in the state during the upcoming general elections.
Lalong, who serves as the Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), emphasized that because of the party’s successes in the areas of justice, peace, and development, Nigerians as a whole would support it in future elections.
The governor said while speaking at the Bit Pol Cultural Festival in his village, N’yak, in the Shendam LGA to ring in the New Year that the APC under his administration has done a lot to restore peace to Plateau State and to rectify previous acts of injustice, exclusion, and division.
He stated that this came after he restored traditional stools and established new ones in the state to give the populace a sense of inclusion in governmental matters, as well as when he established the Peace Building Agency and created space for communication, mutual respect, and unification.
In addition to applauding his people for their continued support, he said that he was confident that they would elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president and Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as governor of Plateau State because of their votes for the APC.
The people of Nyak should be extremely happy, according to Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Idris Wase, to have produced a famous son like Governor Lalong who was modest, patriotic, and honest.
