FAVOUR Ofili set new records in one race yesterday, breaking her own old mark.

The young Nigerian won the women’s 200m final at the Randall Tyson Invitational in the United States of America in 22.36 seconds to set a bunch of records.

The time erased the old African indoor 200m record of 22.46s that the Louisiana State University junior set herself.

It is also a new record for Louisiana State University in the event, as well as the leading time in the world at the moment.

Ofili’s 22.36s is also the second fastest in American collegiate history and a new personal best for the 20-year-old.

It is also the sixth fastest in history globally, crowning a big set of achievements for the Nigerian star.

Ofili is also on an upward trajectory in outdoor 200m, having won silver in the event at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last August.
