A seven-story building under construction has collapsed on Banana Island in the Lagos State neighborhood of Ikoyi.
The incident was said to have taken place today just after 3 o’clock.
It was learned that the building collapsed after some of the site’s construction workers had left for the day.
Some of them however were hurt as a result of the collapse.
The incident was confirmed by Amodu Shakiri, the Lagos Fire Service and Rescue Service’s spokesperson where he said, “We got a call around 3:58 pm. We are currently trying to ascertain the claim that no one was under the rubble.”
