NINE children and grandkids of Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, the Emir of Kagarko in Kaduna State have been kidnapped.
It happened late yesterday night.
A youth leader in Kagarko Local Government, Adamu Abubakar, told Channels Television that the gunmen broke into the Emir’s Palace at around eleven o’clock at night and went straight to the apartments where the children and the youngest wife are living. The police authorities have not yet commented on the incident.
He added that the children and wife of the Emir were abducted by bandits. The children, who are largely minors, were later taken away by the bandits, but the mom managed to flee before they could do so.
Adamu also revealed that a herder was slain at Kuchimi village during the attack, and three other community members were kidnapped by bandits.
