Tinubu sworn-in as President of Nigeria

ASIWAJU Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sworn-in to office as President, Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kayode Ariwoola, administered the oath of office on Tinubu at exactly 10:37am.

Standing on the podium with Tinubu as he took the oath of office were his wife, Senator Oluremi; former President Muhammadu Buhari and his wife, Aisha.

Earlier, Kashim Shettima took the oath as Vice-President at exactly 10:28am.

Tinubu had been two times governor of Lagos State (1999-2007), and a Senator representing Lagos in the aborted Third Republic in 1993.
