THE governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party for the November 11 governorship election in Imo State, Uche Odunze, has boasted that his party will unseat current Governor Hope Uzodinma.
Odunze, who spoke during the public presentation of his running mate, Godstime Samuel, in Owerri, said the ANPP will drastically reduce insecurity in the state if elected.
According to him, the All Progressives Congress administration led by Uzodinma neglected the state, and many people are now fleeing the state due to insecurity, poor governance, and deteriorating infrastructure.
Odunze stated that his party’s manifesto would serve as a guide for his administration in repairing the state’s health, education, and tourist sectors.
He said, “It is clear that the APC has mismanaged this state. The ANPP offers Imo people hope for good governance, infrastructural resolution, security, solid education and health sectors. We will sack APC with the mandate of the people. The ANPP is emerging strong party with the manifesto to turn around the fortunes of the people of Imo State.”
The ANPP governorship candidate said along with his running mate “we will serve the good people of Imo State and bring back adequate security and grow our economy in health, education, tourism and agricultural sectors.”
“Though young, he has a lot of experience in public administration and politics. With him, youths and students groups are already collapsing structures for our great party. We will continue with this tempo until November 11 when the ANPP will defeat the APC,” Odunze said.
