Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has explained why he is investing in education and building a school in Plateau State.

The former Kano Pillars and Leicester City star has a wide range of investments in Nigeria and is known for his philanthropy.

Musa is now going into education as he announced on social media on Wednesday night.

“I am not ignorant of the need to give back to my wonderful community and that is why I am excited to announce the commencement of the M & S international school project in Plateau State, Jos South local government, Bukuru,” he tweeted.

“Education is the key.”

Musa shared a rendering of the school buildings, showing two-storey structures with a colourful exterior.

Musa grew up in Jos, Plateau State and played for the Jos University Teaching Hospital club before making his breakthrough with Kano Pillars.

The 28-year-old has played in Europe with Dutch club VVV Venlo, Russia club CSKA Moscow and Leicester City.

His last club was Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, where he was until late 2020.

He is without a club currently after ending his contract with Al Nassr.

Musa played for the Nigeria U-20s and U-23s, and has 87 senior caps with 15 goals.
