PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu swore in 45 ministers-designate today at the Banquent Hall of the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
Only 45 of the president’s 48 nominations for ministerial positions were approved by the Senate.
Nasir el-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, Stella Okotete (Delta), and Danladi Abubakar (Taraba) were not confirmed because the Senate did not have access to their security clearances during the confirmation process.
The 45 successful ministers-designate finished their paperwork over the weekend as part of the requirements for them to be sworn in as cabinet members.
