THE Kano State Police Command has declared a ban on any public protests in the northern state as the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal convenes for the adoption of written addresses.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Husaini Gumel, revealed this to newsmen today at the state headquarters.

According to him, intelligence sources revealed that both the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are planning public protests against the tribunal’s current sitting.
