GOVERNOR Hope Uzodimma today, dissolved his cabinet. This is coming a day after being sworn in for a second term as the governor of Imo State.
He made the announcement during a meeting at the Sam Mbawke Executive Chambers at the Government House, Owerri, while also expressing gratitude to all cabinet members and appointees for their contributions during his first term in office.
He apologized for any wrongdoing to any appointee during his first term and promised to carry everyone along in his second term for the state’s interest and development.
Speaking further, Uzodimma, mentioned the need to restructure the system to align with current realities as well as the need to nominate new commissioners for confirmation by the state assembly.
His inauguration, which took place at the Dan Ayiam Stadium in Owerri, was attended by thousands of residents and guests, including President Bola Tinubu, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representative Tajudeen Abbas, and other APC chieftains.
In his speech, Uzodimma pledged to surpass his first-term performance and expressed gratitude to the people of the state for their support. He also thanked President Tinubu for his attendance and support.
