THE Federal Government stated today that it is committed to equipping the country’s hospitals with contemporary equipment, training healthcare professionals, and ensuring social welfare for all citizens, including full health insurance coverage.

President Bola Tinubu stated this while receiving a team from the Global Tijaniyya Movement, led by Khalifa Muhammad Mahe Niass, in the Presidential Villa in Abuja today.

The President also stated that his government intends to revolutionise agriculture so that Nigeria can become self-sufficient in food production and a net exporter of agricultural products.

President Tinubu emphasized the importance of spiritual endeavours in nation-building, which he said demonstrates his administration’s commitment to religious activities, as well as the need for collaboration between political and spiritual leaders to advance the nation’s interests and promote people unity.

Speaking on agriculture, the President detailed plans to increase agricultural productivity through a variety of initiatives, including acreage expansion, low-interest loans for farmers, and large investments in irrigation infrastructure.

According to Ajuri Ngelale, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Tinubu said: “We are committed to equipping hospitals with modern equipment, training healthcare professionals, and ensuring social welfare for all citizens, including comprehensive health insurance coverage.”

“Nigeria will become a net exporter of food. We’re bringing thousands of tractors. Aggressive mechanisation will result in significantly increased food output. We must be productive as a group. That is the Sunnah and the principles that I grew up with.”

He commended the Global Tijaniyya Movement for their support and prayers, emphasizing the necessity of working together to achieve a better Nigeria.
