TWO persons were killed, while thirteen others injured in a road crash that occurred along the Sagamu/Ijebuode Expressway, after J3 Junction.
The Ogun Chief Routes Commander and Public Education Officer of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpe, stated that the collision occurred about midday today.
“The fatal crash occurred at about 12:10hrs on Sagamu-Ijebu-ode Section of the expressway after the J3 junction; 13 people sustained injuries and 2 persons were recorded death from the crash,” her statement read.
The wounded have been treated, and the bodies of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary, she said.
The collision which happened between two vehicles: Iyare Motors’ Toyota Hiace bus and a truck, was said to have been caused by excessive speed, after the bus driver collided with a stationary vehicle parked on a hard shoulder of the road from behind.
