PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, as Co-Chairman of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board’s Governing Council.

The Special Adviser to the President, Ajuri Ngelale, revealed this in a statement yesterday in Abuja.

Ngelele stated that the appointment was consistent with Tinubu’s stated aim to establish a more efficient, targeted, and consistent approval procedure for unique oil and gas projects in the country.

This is also intended to enable more effective oversight of the nation’s gas assets.

He went on to say that the president is still dedicated to unleashing Nigeria’s enormous gas potential in order to spur industrial development, job creation, and long-term economic progress.
