THE Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, stressed the significance of unwavering faith in the will of God, urging followers to embrace divine decisions without hesitation.

Emir Sanusi delivered this message during a sermon at the Kofar Arewa Central Mosque during today’s Jumma’t prayer.

In his address to the congregation, Emir Sanusi underscored the importance of trusting in God’s supreme power, particularly as the Islamic calendar approaches Zhul Hijja, a month renowned for its spiritual blessings.

He emphasized that those who believe in Allah as the sole provider should accept His decisions wholeheartedly, without questioning the reasons behind them.

Emir Sanusi also delved into the Islamic concept of destiny, emphasizing the necessity of gratitude during both favorable and challenging circumstances.

He highlighted the belief that all events are predetermined by God, and what one attains or misses is ultimately from Him.

After delivering the sermon, Emir Sanusi led the worshippers in prayers.

Meanwhile, the Kano State Police Command had today dispelled rumors that the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, would lead the Jumma’t prayers at the Kofar Kudu Central Mosque.

The ongoing dispute between Sanusi and Bayero over the Kano throne has caused confusion among the city’s residents.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf recently removed Ado Bayero from the throne, directing him to vacate the position he held for four years. Despite this, Bayero returned to Kano under military protection and has been operating from a smaller palace.

In a statement, spokesperson for the Kano Police Command, Abdullahi Kiyawa, clarified the situation regarding the Jumma’t prayer, ensuring that security arrangements were in place for Alhaji Aminu Bayero to conduct his prayers at the Nasarawa Palace Mosque where he resides.

Tensions remain high in the city as the dispute between the two claimants to the throne persists, with both parties standing firm in their positions amidst increased security measures.
