THE Minister of Defence, Mohammad Badaru, has instructed the troops of Operation Fansar Yamma to capture the infamous bandit leader, Bello Turji.

He issued the directive today during a speech to the troops at the One Brigade Headquarters in Gusau, Zamfara State.

Badaru noted that President Bola Tinubu has been monitoring the troops’ activities over the past few months and has observed some improvements in the fight against terrorism in the region, though challenges still remain.

“The President has asked me to express his gratitude to you and encourage you to intensify efforts to eliminate insecurity in these operational areas and across the country. He is prepared to provide all the resources you need to combat insecurity in the Northwest and Nigeria as a whole.”

“I received reassurances from the commanding officer, and I am confident we will achieve our objectives. Are you ready to put an end to this? Are you prepared to solve this issue? Please ensure Turji is brought to justice.”

The Defence Minister’s visit to Operation Fansar Yamma in Gusau was aimed at receiving updates on military operations.

He was welcomed by Major General Oluyinka Soyele, Commander of the Joint Taskforce Northwest Operation Fansar Yamma, along with the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Mumuni, and other dignitaries.
