Rihanna has announced that she is pregnant with her third child, revealing the news on the red carpet at the 2024 Met Gala in New York.
The 37-year-old singer and fashion icon wore an elegant outfit, cradling her noticeable baby bump as she smiled for the cameras on the navy and daffodil-themed carpet. She was accompanied by her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, who confirmed the news and graciously responded to reporters’ congratulations.
“It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up,” A$AP Rocky said. “Thank you, thank you, thank you… I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy.”
The couple already has two sons: RZA, born in May 2022, and Riot, born in August 2023.
Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Fenty, arrived fashionably late to the prestigious benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, which this year focused on the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” dedicated to menswear.
A$AP Rocky served as a co-chair for the event, known for its bold fashion statements and surprise appearances.
Rihanna is no stranger to making headlines with her pregnancy reveals. She announced her first pregnancy with a Harlem photoshoot in 2022 and debuted her second baby bump during her halftime performance at the 2023 Super Bowl. She joins other stars like Serena Williams and Karlie Kloss, who have also revealed their pregnancies at past Met Galas.
Once again, Rihanna has blended fashion, fame, and family in an unforgettable moment.
