Jonathan meets PDP leaders amid defection rumour

FORMER President, Goodluck Jonathan, today, met with some leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

Ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki made this known via a post across social media platforms.

Jonathan is seen in the video receiving the delegates with smiles as he exchanges pleasantries with them.

According to Saraki, the meeting was to resolve challenges in the party.

“As part of our efforts to listen to the concerns of key stakeholders across our great party, this afternoon, the @OfficialPDPNig Reconciliation & Strategy Committee is meeting with our immediate past President, H.E. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (@GEJonathan),” Saraki captioned his post.

This comes amid rumour that the All Progressives Congress is considering pitching Jonathan and Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai for the 2023 Presidency.

Jonathan has since discredited the rumour.
