NIGER: Abducted Kagara students, staff released

THE abducted students and staff of Government Science Secondary School, Kagara, in Rafi Local Government Area have been released.

According to Channels TV, a government official confirmed the release.

The official was quoted as saying the released abductees were on their way to Minna, the state capital.

The victims were said to have been released from a location close to where the fifty-three passengers abducted in a state’s bus while returning from a wedding ceremony were released a week ago.

They are expected to be received by Governor Abubakar Bello at the Government House in Minna.

Gunmen had on February 17 stormed Government Sciemce Secondary School, Kagara and whisked away 42 people, including students and staff, from the school.
