PRESIDENT Buhari is currently meeting with some state governors from the Northern part of the country behind closed doors.

The meeting, which is being held inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is also attended by the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof Ibrahim Gambari.

The governors present at the meeting include Kebbi State Governor, Atiku Bagudu; Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai; Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong; Niger State Governor, Abubakar Bello; and Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule.

Though the details of the meeting have not been made public, considering the governors there it may not be unconnected with the spate of kidnappings and killings rocking the North, particularly the Northwest and Northcentral regions of the country.

Kebbi and Kaduna are in the Northwest while Plateau and Niger are in the Northcentral zone of the country.

Gunmen abducted about 19 students of Greenfield University in Kaduna yesterday and while hours ago it was reported that two nurses were abducted this morning in Kajuru LG of Kaduna again.

A military camp was attacked by bandits in Niger State yesterday with many vehicles belonging to the military set ablaze.
